The Middletown, Pennsylvania-based Phoenix Contact USA has announced an expansion to its PCB connector lineup with the introduction of the PC 6 series. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of power electronics applications, these connectors offer a host of advanced features to enhance safety, reliability, and ease of use.

Featuring screw connections, the PC6 series offers enhanced touch protection and adherence to IEC/UL 61800-5-1 safety standards. They are designed to ensure a higher level of safety, even when the connectors are not plugged in, for added protection in critical environments. With options ranging from two to six positions, these connectors also provide intuitive operation and color-coded identification, as well as the flexibility to suit a wide range of project requirements.

Offering a nominal cross-section of 6 mm² and a pitch of 7.62 mm, , the PC 6 series connectors are capable of handling currents up to 41 A and voltages up to 1,000 V. Compatible with LPC 6 lever-actuated PCB connectors and PC 6/…-ST-BUS bus connectors, these connectors ensure seamless integration into various applications, with options for both wave soldering and SMT processes.

Another notable feature of the Phoenix Contact PC 6 series is the option for a space-saving center latching flange. The flange provides added convenience and security during installation. It also offers intuitive operation and allows for color-coded identification for simplified wiring processes.
