Copper Mountain Technologies, developers of RF test and measurement solutions, has introduced the industry’s believed first known native macOS software platform for Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), allowing RF engineers to integrate precision network analysis directly into macOS-based engineering environments.
The new CMT VNA software for macOS delivers the same core functionality available through the company’s Windows and Linux platforms while enabling direct operation of Copper Mountain Technologies VNAs within native macOS environments.
Copper Mountain Technologies’ Vector Network Analyzers are now supported by the company’s native macOS software platform for RF and microwave measurement applications.
The software supports integration into existing RF engineering and test workflows without requiring virtualization platforms, secondary operating systems, or external control environments for either manual measurements or automated testing applications. The macOS platform also supports automated RF testing through SCPI command integration using TCP/IP socket communication while supporting RF and microwave measurement workflows used across advanced engineering laboratories, aerospace and defense development programs, and high-frequency product validation environments.
Native macOS support is intended to streamline engineering workflows for organizations already standardized on Apple infrastructure, including R&D laboratories, RF engineering teams, and advanced technology developers performing microwave characterization and automated validation testing.
Copper Mountain Technologies’ USB-based VNAs operating directly within macOS environments are designed to reduce workflow friction associated with switching between operating systems during RF characterization, microwave testing, and automated validation processes.
The software is available for download directly from Copper Mountain Technologies and is included with the purchase of the company’s Vector Network Analyzers at no additional cost.
